To unlock the full potential of V-Link, you’ll need a few essential components to set up your system:
Required Items:
- Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 – the computing core of your setup.
- V-Link HAT – the dedicated hardware interface.
- 6.5″ LCD screen with HDMI – for a clear and responsive display.
Normally, connecting a Raspberry Pi to a car requires a collection of individual components: a buck converter for stable power supply, several transceivers for communication, protective fuses, and more. Managing all of these can quickly become complicated.
This is where the V-Link HAT comes into play. It integrates all those components into a compact, plug-and-play board, creating a complete hardware interface. With the HAT in place, every necessary connection can be easily made through just three Molex Mini-Fit Jr. terminals, keeping the setup both clean and reliable.
